Over-landing means traveling by SUV or other 4 x 4 vehicle. Everything you should take when traveling over the landing.
- Water (rule of thumb is one gallon per person per day)
- Tow strap and other recovery gear
- Battery Jumper
- Toolset
- Air compressor for airing up tires (if needed)
- Jet boil or cookstove, and don’t forget the fuel (mainly propane or isobutane)
- Shovel
- Snacks
- Sleeping bag
- Cooler for cold food items, don’t forget the ice
- Tent, either roof or freestanding or a trailer
- Map of the area (a great App is Off-Road X)
- Clothes for anticipated weather - always bring a good jacket
- Fishing poles or other recreational items
- Any medications, inhale, etc.
- Phone chargers
Also, plan to bring emergency equipment such as a moon blanket, whistle, compass and life-straws, and a First-Aide kit.
Happy Overlanding!
