PLANNING YOUR TRIP

Whether traveling in your car, by flight/rental, a cruise, or whatever.  Loose timetables (or detailed) can help be sure you get to do everything you set out for.  We try and brainstorm the purpose or idea of the trip first, a family trip, just passing through for a day or a planned off-road excursion. Then decide the level of planning needed.  We check weather forecasts for packing, the travel time if the multi-stop or meeting anyone, and the availability of recreation in the area.  Some places are seasonal, this has helped me not get to a hike or waterfall just to find out it's not the season yet.
