Some places only take cash, others are card only, but then there is tipping...   We recommend taking both to be sure you can get that stuffed teddy bear with the Las Vegas sweater on your way out of town. Another tip is to let your bank know you'll be traveling - that way they don't send a fraud alert on that random Hotel at 2 AM in the middle of California.
